Palo Santo powdered incense obtained exclusively from Bursera graveolens wood native to northern Peru.
The benefits of Palo Santo powder:
Ease of use is the strong point of this format, since once lit they burn autonomously. Furthermore, with the powder it is possible to experiment with synergistic mixtures of incense with other powders or natural resins.
The burning time of the powder is quite limited: it will be necessary to renew it often with new incense.
The benefits of the powdered format of Palo Santo are many: their fumigation produces a high quantity of smoke compared to other formats of Palo Santo, and is therefore ideal for deep purifications, ceremonies and rituals in which the presence of smoke is necessary. Its aroma renews energies bringing them back to frequencies of harmony and balance.
Dust fumigation is the best choice for large or outdoor spaces, where it can also be used to repel annoying insects.
Using Palo Santo with charcoal is very simple:
- Light a piece of charcoal by holding one end close to the flame and place it on a heat-resistant stand, such as our steel stand . You can also choose one of our handmade terracotta fire bowls for a better and more authentic experience.
- After a few minutes, when the charcoal becomes glowing, add a pinch of incense.
Palo Santo wood will light easily and will immediately begin to release a generous amount of smoke and an intense, enveloping aroma. - When the incense has exhausted its aroma and appears charred, it will be necessary to renew with more incense if you want to continue the fumigation. To obtain a better fumigation, remove the exhausted incense with tongs each time you add new incense.
- You can also experiment with synergistic blends by adding to the charcoal - in addition to Palo Santo - other powders or natural resins! Get inspired by the incense blends we have created.
- By intervening every now and then to renew the incense, the fumigation will continue autonomously until the charcoal is active (about a couple of hours for standard 3 cm charcoals). It is not possible to turn off the charcoal once it is lit: if you want a short fumigation, we recommend breaking the charcoal into two or four parts before starting, and lighting only one piece.
- You can also slow down the combustion by closing the brazier with the lid if it has one.
