A unique and handcrafted product, made by artisans of the communities in southern Ecuador with traditional techniques passed down through generations. Modeled and decorated entirely by hand, the Mochica Pole Holder takes up the symbols of the Guangala culture, a pre-Columbian civilization that lived in Ecuador over three thousand years ago.
It is perfectly suited to be used with stakes, with stick incense and with our White Sage smudge. During fumigations it is ideal for holding the incense and collecting the ashes of the embers; after fumigation, it is an elegant furnishing accessory where you can arrange your incense in order. With a free Palo Santo Amarillo stake!
All you need to do is light the incense and insert it into the holder. Your hands will be free and your surfaces safe: you can fully concentrate on your wellness ritual while fully enjoying the benefits of Palo Santo.
How do you use the Palo Santo stake?
Lighting the Palo Santo wood in the correct way helps to fully enjoy the aroma of this natural incense. Its use is very simple, you just need to do a little practice:
- Bring the Palo Santo wood close to the open flame of the candle.
- Let one end of the stick burn for a few seconds. Be careful not to keep the flame burning for too long or you risk burning the resin contained in the Palo Santo.
- If the flame goes out on its own after a few seconds, don't worry, that's how it's supposed to work.
- Once the flame is out, blow on the layer of embers that forms on the end of the stick.
- If necessary, repeat the operation until a uniform layer of embers forms.
Enjoy the aroma! The smoke that the stake releases into the air is the scent of the essence and aroma of Palo Santo. The vibrations it spreads create a clean environment that promotes relaxation and introspection.

Here's what makes our Palo Santo so special
Our Palo Santo wood comes exclusively from Bursera graveolens trees that have fallen naturally at the end of their life cycle and have been left on the ground for at least 3 years. This natural process gives the wood its unique properties. Each piece is then cut, selected and packaged by hand in collaboration with local Ecuadorian communities, according to ethical and fair labor relationships.
✓ Never treated wood, collected exclusively in protected areas with strict sustainability criteria
✓ Careful manual selection so that only the most aromatic parts become Palosanto® incense
✓ Concrete commitment to environmental protection and support of local communities in Ecuador
