Palo Santo 'Special' Grains

Incense in grains of Palo Santo wood originally from Ecuador and Peru.

This flake format is ideal for use on charcoal to obtain abundant and prolonged Palo Santo fumigations.

The benefits of Palo Santo grains:

Palo Santo in grains, compared to the stick format, produces a greater quantity of smoke and a longer duration. The use of charcoal allows the fumigation to continue autonomously, without having to intervene continuously to light the incense as is necessary for the stick.

This format of incense is indicated for those who intend to perform purification ceremonies and rituals because it produces an abundant and long-lasting fumigation. Its aroma renews energies, bringing them back to frequencies of harmony and balance.

Grain fumigation is ideal for large or outdoor spaces, where it can also be used to keep away annoying insects.

Using Palo Santo with charcoal is very simple:

• Light a piece of charcoal by holding one end close to the flame and place it on a heat-resistant stand, such as our steel stand . You can also choose one of our handmade terracotta fire bowls for a better and more authentic experience.
• After a few minutes, when the charcoal becomes glowing, add a pinch of incense.
  Palo Santo wood will light easily and will immediately begin to release a generous amount of smoke and an intense, enveloping aroma.
• When the incense has exhausted its aroma and appears charred, it will be necessary to renew with more incense if you want to continue the fumigation. To obtain a better fumigation, remove the exhausted incense with tongs each time you add new incense.
• You can also experiment with synergistic blends by adding to the charcoal - in addition to Palo Santo - other powders or natural resins! Get inspired by the incense blends we have created.
• By intervening every now and then to renew the incense, the fumigation will continue autonomously until the charcoal is active (about a couple of hours for standard 3 cm charcoals). It is not possible to turn off the charcoal once it is lit: if you want a short fumigation, we recommend breaking the charcoal into two or four parts before starting, and lighting only one piece.
• You can also slow down the combustion by closing the brazier with the lid if it has one.
