Dragon's Blood is a natural incense extracted from different plants that grow in Peru whose sap, of an intense red color, is commonly used in folk medicine as a remedy to heal and soothe wounds. It is left to dry and traditionally burned during rituals and spiritual ceremonies.

Dragon's Blood is not suitable to be used in its pure form: it is used in a mixture with other resins and herbs , of which it is able to intensify the aroma and beneficial effects , acting on the chakras that go from the solar plexus downwards. Its energy gives relief and acts on emotional wounds, accelerating the healing process.

It is advisable to use Dragon's Blood on charcoal because, not being a resin, the yield on the Sublimator would not be effective.

The images are for illustrative purposes. The appearance of the product may vary naturally, as a result of manual processing, appearing in grains, irregular pieces or powder, without compromising its quality and aroma.

The best method to obtain maximum yield and enhance the beneficial properties of the resins is to use it with the copper Sublimator . The pure aroma of the incense will be released without producing smoke or odors related to combustion and the diffusion in the environment will be delicate and long-lasting.

The steps to follow for a perfect sublimation of resins are:

  • Light a small candle and place it under the copper saucer of the sublimator. After about a minute the saucer will reach the ideal temperature to start sublimation.
  • At this point, place a pinch of resin previously pulverized in the mortar on the saucer.
  • The aroma of the resin is released into the air from the first moments. The duration of the fumigation depends on the quantity of resin that you want to sublimate on the saucer. If you want, you can also choose to mix different varieties of resins and add a few drops of essential oil.
  • When you decide to stop sublimation, simply turn off the candle. The unused resin can be reused later.
  • If the resin has exhausted its aroma, after extinguishing the candle and letting the saucer cool, it will come off by applying a little pressure under the saucer itself. If you prefer a more delicate purification and a prolonged diffusion of the aroma, place a pinch of resin on the saucer of the copper Sublimator . The pure aroma of the incense will be released without producing smoke or odors related to combustion.

For deep rituals and purifications, you can use the resin on a lit charcoal inside one of our Incense Burners . In this way it is possible to create synergistic mixtures with other grain and powder incenses and obtain an intense and enveloping fumigation.

In both cases, we always recommend pulverizing the incense with the help of a mortar before using them, to promote proper fumigation and avoid carbonization of the resins.
